My commentary here in Morning Consult about Voting Options in the United States.
Summary Points:
The challenging 2020 Presidential Election provides a new opportunity to rethink voting in America. We see more clearly American elections are uniquely difficult to access. Election after election, we have come to embrace this fact as normal. In our modern society, this should be unacceptable.
I propose a three-fold solution: One, we must give each state proper resources. Two, we must address the national attitude that argues that the best way to protect America is to limit citizens' voting choices and methods. Currently, we continue to add barriers in the name of voting security. Third, we must expand our options - we must find new, easier ways to ensure that everyone can cast a ballot, potentially transforming our system to offer greater access.
Well said (written) Kahlill!
