The Votes Are In - Which sectors have won and which are left facing challenges?
You voted, the results are in, and the UK has a new Labour government. Regardless of whether you're cheering or sulking over your tea this morning, the tides have turned and it's time to think about what this shift means for business.
Some sectors will benefit under Labour’s leadership and others will struggle. In preparation for a change of government, we’ve recently been focusing some of our Honch Lists on sectors that will either benefit or face challenges in the coming years.
Some Winners:
??House Builders:
Labour have pledged to build 1.5 million homes in the next 5 years. Last week we profiled 322 companies in the sector and covered more than 6,000+ decision-makers in them.
??EV Infrastructure Companies:
Labour will reinstate the 2030 ban on new petrol and diesel cars which will mean an expansion of national infrastructure in this area. Our Honch List on the sector profiles 123 companies who’ll be hard at work over the next 6 years and are going to be brilliant prospects for B2B providers.
??Life Sciences:
Labour is going to introduce a life sciences scheme and develop a clear plan to get products into the NHS more quickly. You can target the leading 550 companies in the sector with our focused Honch List as they see a boost in their outlook.

??NHS Trusts:
Labour pledged to create an additional 40,000 new appointments each week to help cut waiting lists. Our Honch List on every NHS Trust and all key decision-makers allows clients to begin targeting them today.
Some Losers:
??Private Schools:
We profiled the top 100 private schools in the UK. With the addition of VAT on school fees, these companies are going to be facing significant challenges over the coming years.?
??North Sea Oil:
We’re now waiting for the launch of GB Energy and the halting of new licenses for the north sea extraction companies. While these businesses will not lose existing licenses, they'll be nervously trying to future-proof their businesses.
We'll be following the business news carefully over the coming weeks and months, and will make sure we're profiling sectors and companies that will be looking to capitalise.
