Meet Osvaldo, one of the #FacesofCleanEnergy:
Osvaldo Garcia is an Urban Fellow for the New York City Economic Development Corporation and a former EDICT Fellow with Elemental Excelerator.
Osvaldo grew up in the South Bronx where freight truck routes created heavy pollution. This experience motivated him to take an active role in the clean energy industry and be a part of more sustainable solutions for his community.
Osvaldo hopes to create a career pipeline for the next generation of sustainable urban planners from marginalized and underrepresented communities. “I believe we need to diversify the perspectives within the climate industry to create equitable, holistic, people-centered solutions.â€
