Vote Blue, No Matter Who

Perhaps this is a time for reflection instead of deflection.

Rather than just pour all over the shit show that we've all just witnessed, here is my take.

I personally NEVER expected that there would be a different outcome. I've always assumed that, in the end, Republican Senators would not have the balls to vote against Trump so this is not a shocker at all.

What DOES sort of amaze me, is that for the sake of "show" they wouldn't even listen to witnesses. Instead, they made history by taking the entire PROCESS of trial and turning it into a House of Representatives "chore." That's NOT the way the Constitution was written, but hey, I think at this point EVERYONE realizes that Trump can't even read the Constitution let alone know what it says or how to interpret it.

I've essentially sat back and watched this thing unwind, all the while thinking it was more of a show of right vs. wrong and that in the end, history would see this as a turning point at which Republicans essentially gave up their right to be considered a serious Party any longer.

The ONLY legitimate purpose of NOT hearing the witnesses in a public setting, is to keep 'We the People' in the dark as long as they can. I believe, most of us are smarter than that.

Clearly, the entire ELECTED SENATE BODY of Republicans are no longer legitimate. This is NOT to say that ALL Republicans are somehow similarly ensconced, because I don't believe that to be true. There ARE very intelligent human beings in the Republican Party, and some of them see the wrong headedness of NOT hearing witnesses as Trial.

For those who simply repeat the repeater in Chief who is simply repeating bad information, it's simple....garbage in, garbage out.

This, in total honesty, will do far more to mobilize the left than the right. The entire Trump base is small in its totality. There are, roughly 157 Million registered voters in the United States, with some 24% of the population STILL unregistered. There is little doubt in my mind that some of Trump's supporters, people who are intelligent, critical thinking folk will turn against him for largely the same reasons they voted for him. He's proven that being an outsider gave him no advantage other than to completely mock and disarray things that are important to most voters. Further, he has not delivered on the great bulk of his Campaign Promises. Mexico hasn't paid for the wall, the wall isn't built and in fact, new parts are falling down. He hasn't reduced the National Debt, he's grown it substantially higher and faster than most The list of things he has not accomplished is legion all the while the things he HAS done have been nothing more than disruptive and will require years to repair the damage. We have gone backwards on nearly every single field of endeavor in the past three years.

More than that, while he constantly hypes his great economy, statistics PROVE that we're in the slowest period of growth in recent history. While the GDP is up and low paying jobs are being created, he's fallen far behind Obama and Clinton in job creation (3.57 MIllion to Clinton's 18 Million and Obama's 13 Million). Further, using the GDP and the Stock Market as a measure of growth FAILS to look at the totality of the economics. While the wealthy continue to grow and prosper, the other 98% keep falling behind.

I believe that this "failure" in the Senate will, in fact, mobilize the left, the moderate center, and the moderate Republican base to rise up and vote. I believe that the 24% of folks not registered WILL show up at the polls. They'll find a way, despite the Republicans best efforts to make sure they can't, and they'll vote Blue, no matter who.

Facts and Statistics simply tell the tale, and anyone with critical thinking skills can see clearly that this simply is not working. We don't have this marvelous robust economy he brags about. We don't have ANY sense of decorum or respect, for anyone.

Cross Trump and you become the enemy, to be cursed, called out, vilified and taken to task.

His friends quickly become his enemies, just look at the state of affairs in the White House staff and his own hand picked Cabinet. Far too many arrests, convictions and basic lack of discipline on the part of the repeater in Chief. YOu can only piss off, threaten or cajole so many times before believers become non-believers at the highest levels.

This is a win of sorts and Democrats should not hang their heads with any shame at all. I am proud that they did the right thing. They had the courage of their convictions and they stayed the course even when they KNEW it wouldn't work. That takes GUTS, something our illustrious cheater in chief has never had.

The TRUTH behind this man's "power" both in Politics and Business, has been his willingness to spend money on lawyers, buy judges and force those with less power and money to come to heel simply because THEY couldn't afford to play it the litigious world of Donald J. Trump. He simply kept throwing money at the lawyers until the other side ran out of cash and gave up.

Hell of a strategy. Sadly, he'd probably BE worth the 10 Billion he lies about, which is 80% of the reason you'll never SEE his tax returns....they'd PROVE he lies about his wealth, even as Forbes correctly states it at around 3.7 Billion.

It makes you wonder, with all of the assets, the brand name, the money, women and everything else, WHY is it SO important to lie every time you open your mouth. Why, when you went to such prestigious schools, do you have the verbal skills of a fourth grader? Why when you're such a hit with the ladies, do you have to buy Russian Prostitutes for golden showers?

I don't understand any of it, any more than I understand the Evangelical Movement. Personally, I am at a point where I am no longer interested in anything they have to say about morality or anything else. They've proven that they have zero regard for morality, and I'm OK with that, it just helps me to know who I can and can't trust. If you're thinking about making a donation to one of these whacko TV preachers, it's your money but they'll never get another dime from me as long as I live. The "spiritual leaders" at the White House can kiss my tiny hiney because as far as I'm concerned, they are nothing but fakes and frauds, and that is taking an awful lot for me to say because I truly believed in the movement prior to 2016. Now, forget about it.

There will be those of you who will react badly to this. You'll scream and you'll comment below. Just for the record, I could care less what you think say or do, and frankly, I'm not interested in anything you have to say if you are a Trump believer. I'm done now thinking that facts matter to you, or that truth matters. You will simply push those aside and continue to drink the Kook-aid (that's NOT a typo for the record).

I'm sorry it's come to this, but friends and family alike, take note, if you weren't sure before, NOW you know, Trump is merely a temporary poison that we must endure, but Truth, Facts and Morality DO mean something, and your repetitive phony nonsense does not.
