A Little Bit About Being an Entrepreneur
1: How long have you been in business?
5 years.
2: What made you decide to break away from the 9-5 and start your business?
I still currently have a day job and have plans to leave it. I started Posh Lash Professional so that I can offer people a way to simplify their daily routine and help individuals feel confident at any stage of their journey.
3: What do you love most about being an entrepreneur?
Being able to bring my ideas and visions to life – and seeing people love our products, especially our lashes!
4: What is the hardest thing you have had to overcome as an entrepreneur? Something you did not foresee when you decided to start your business?
Being able to separate personal and professional relationships because sometimes your friends and family become your clients.
5: What is one thing about working in your industry that people would be surprised to learn?
When it comes to lashes there is a lot to learn. Some brands only focus on educating their audience on the basics of lashes. But with PLP, a few things that we find are just as important that needs to be discussed include educating others on the types of materials, where it originated from, lash styles for specific eye shapes, ways to apply lashes to change the shape of your eyes, and taking care of your real and fake lashes.
And Now Onto The Social Media Questions!
6: Do you have a favorite social media platform? Why?
Instagram has more tools that we find useful in helping our brand build better customer relationships. Instagram is a platform that encourages engagement with features such as built in messaging, story integration, etc. that are much more useful when building your brand personality.
7: What made you decide to start using social media as a way to promote your company?
Social media is a great way of showcasing your brand practically for free. It is a great way to boost your visibility among potential customers, reach wide audiences, and is an easy platform to connect with your audience.
8: How has social media impacted your business? Would you say that it’s an effective marketing tool?
Yes absolutely! Social media has become an essential way to reach your customers, gain valuable insights and grow your brand.
9: What advice would you give to other businesses and entrepreneurs who want to use social media as a way to connect with customers?
Our advice to other businesses and entrepreneurs would be to take the time to know what value you bring to the table, how you can differentiate yourself, and to know your target audience. Each social media platform has its pros and cons, but it is a great place to start and is fairly easy to use even for people who are not very tech savvy. So knowing these factors will help you narrow down which platform works best for you.
