1. What is your name and a bit about you - hobbies and interests. An Interesting fact about you as a person.

Hi?–?I am Shaun Drake and a big dog lover. Born in Guernsey, I returned to the island in 2019 after spending 20 years living in Canada. I enjoy reconnecting with this beautiful island by walking the lanes and cliff paths ? ?

2. What is your role at/ for GET and what does it involve? ?

I am the company secretary which involves organising and attending the quarterly Board meetings, as well as looking after various regulatory and compliance filings. ? ?

3. What made you want to volunteer for GET? ?

To the extent they are able, I think that everyone should undertake some volunteer work and give some time back to the community. ?

4. What tips or advice (if any) do you have for others looking to volunteer? ?

Make sure you find a charity / organisation that you are aligned to and believe in their objectives. Also, make sure you will be able to honour the time commitment required to fulfil your volunteer role. ?
