Trustees Week – Showcasing the work of charity trustees.
Trustees play a crucial role by giving their time to charities to make important decisions and lead the direction of the charity. ?All charities need a great board of trustees with a range of skills, experience, and ideas to make sure they’re effective, efficient and legally compliant.?
By giving 1 or 2 hours every few months you could help make a big difference. ? Being a trustee can help you:
·???????? gain experience and progress in your career
·???????? share existing skills and expertise
·???????? give something back to your community
·???????? promote a cause that’s close to your heart
·???????? improve your sense of well being
Emma Clough, Trustee at Yorkshire Children's Centre says:
"I would highly recommend it to others. We all have different strengths to bring to the table and it is the mix of these diverse skills and backgrounds, with a common goal, which come together to make a big difference".
