Many low-income Virginians struggle between buying vital medication and food due to rising living costs. For 20 years, Rx Partnership, a nonprofit, has expanded medication access statewide. They obtain medications through purchases or donations and distribute them to free clinics. Since 2004, they've supported over 80,000 patients across 31 clinics. Rx??
Partnership helps uninsured and underinsured patients, addressing areas without pharmacies and offering mail delivery for those lacking transportation. To raise awareness, they're displaying an exhibit at Main St. Station in Richmond until May 31. This initiative aims to ensure more people know about and can access their vital services. The larger the nonprofit, the more likely it is run by a white man, says new Candid diversity report A study by Candid reveals that white men are most likely to lead large, well-funded nonprofits, while women of color lead the least-resourced organizations. How Nonprofit Organizations Can Boost Donations Via Social Media To boost donations via social media, nonprofit organizations should focus on telling compelling stories, using impactful visuals, and engaging regularly with their audience. It's important to leverage various social media platforms effectively, tailoring content to each platform's strengths. Nonprofits should also utilize targeted advertising, collaborate with influencers, and encourage peer-to-peer fundraising. Consistent messaging and transparent communication about the impact of donations can build trust and drive more contributions. Engaging donors with interactive content and showing appreciation publicly can further enhance donor relationships and retention. Forbes

Senate GOP bill seeks to protect anonymous nonprofit donors Republican Senators Todd Young of Indiana and James Lankford of Oklahoma are introducing a bill to increase penalties for revealing anonymous donor information from $5,000 to at least $10,000 and up to $250,000. The legislation aims to protect donor privacy and charitable organizations. It would allow leaks to be prosecuted in the jurisdiction where the affected donor resides. The Philanthropy Roundtable, Indiana Philanthropy Alliance, and Americans for Prosperity support the bill. Recent leaks of wealthy taxpayer information by IRS officials have raised concerns in the nonprofit sector. Democrats have sought disclosure of donors to tax-exempt organizations involved in election spending but have faced opposition from Republicans. House Republicans are also pushing for greater scrutiny of foreign donations to tax-exempt groups. Measures include requiring disclosure if nonprofits accept donations from foreign nationals and imposing restrictions on political donations following acceptance of donations by foreign nationals.
