SAVMA- Southern Arizona Volunteer Management Association is pleased to once again be hosting the Volunteer Management Hybrid Conference in Tucson, AZ on October 17th. SAVMA will present a one-day training from 9AM-4PM MST on October 17th at Habitat for Humanity – 3501 N. Mountain | Tucson, AZ.? This training, titled Leveraging Technology in a Human World:? Inclusively, Responsibly, and Creatively will focus on equipping leaders of volunteers with skills to use modern technology tools such as Artificial Intelligence while keeping the human aspect that is key to any volunteer program.?
Designed for those who engage volunteers, service delivery programs, and nonprofits, this one-day training event features three internationally known speakers.?? The training presentations will be broadcast live in the United States and Canada on October 17th from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada to our site in Tucson.? Participants will receive handouts, worksheets, and will connect and network with nearly 1,000 of their peers on a face to face and electronic level at over 50 remote locations across the United States, Canada and Australia.?

With many of our community agencies working with limited resources, we can provide a quality learning experience without our local participants having to travel more than 50 miles.”? Attendees will also receive professional development credit units for recertification of the Certified Volunteer Administrator credential (CVA), an international professional credential for those who engage volunteers and/or programs (www.cvacert.org).

Facilitated by Rob Jackson of Rob Jackson FRSA Consulting, an internationally known speaker, author, and trainer on volunteer engagement. Rob will lead discussions with the presenting team and guide the international discussions via twitter and the live-stream feed. ?

Now in its tenth year, the Volunteer Managers Hybrid Conference is known for its unique format, live streamed to Tucson where the presenters can take questions, comments, and add input in real time from Tucson to where the speakers are presenting. The event is sponsored by Association of Leaders in Volunteer Engagement , Better Impact Inc. and VMPC-Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada .
Costs vary by host site. The cost in Tucson is $35/members $50/non-members and includes (lunch, materials, and snacks).
