Volunteer at the European Taekwondo Championships in Manchester

Volunteers needed for the European Taekwondo Championships in Manchester next month.

There are multiple roles and shifts available and taekwondo experience is not necessarily required.

Manchester will host the European Taekwondo Championships in May 2022. For the first time ever, this competition will also include Para Taekwondo in a fully integrated competition schedule.

After the incredible success of British taekwondo stars at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games we need a team of volunteer heroes to join us in making this the most inclusive and welcoming European Championships ever, celebrating the City of Manchester as the heart of taekwondo in Britain.

The roles available include:

Hotel Services – Great for anyone interested in hospitality, a brilliant opportunity to help make athletes, teams and coaches stay at the event run smoothly and efficiently.

Training Venue – Excellent for anyone interested in event logistics and wanting to get an up close experience behind the scenes.

People and Venue Support – Wonderful for those interested in events and have good customer service skills.

Athlete Services – Superb for people who have a keen interest in taekwondo and want to assist teams with preparation for the event.

Entertainment – Ideal roles for energetic, lively personalities, who are good with crowds and not shy of the camera.

Media, PR, Digital – If you have an interest in Media/PR/Digital then this role is perfect for you. A chance to be hands on with assisting the media department, capturing exciting content and learning more about the area.

Broadcasting – The perfect chance to work alongside TV production teams providing camera support and learning the ins and outs of production. Ideal for those studying broadcasting, or those interested in learning something new.
