FedEx holding packages when next-day match is present

FedEx has “successfully piloted” a program designed to lower costs by increasing deliveries made per stop. The initiative involves holding Ground packages slated to be delivered ahead of schedule if another package is set to go to the same destination the next day.?

Packages will still be delivered on-time based on transit day commitments.

Hurricane Helene disrupting deliveries

FedEx, UPS, and the USPS have all reported service disruptions due to Hurricane Helene’s impact in the Eastern U.S.

FedEx Ground suspended service in over 350 ZIP Codes in Florida, and Express was impacted in 875 ZIP Codes across Florida, Georgia, and Alabama.

The USPS suspended service in the 335, 336, 337, 339, 341, 342 and 346 3-digit zip code areas,

UPS shared on their website that service in Florida may be impacted, although they’re still carrying on whenever possible.?

Shipments with FedEx and UPS that are impacted by weather-related events aren’t eligible for Money-Back Guarantees.
