So I was discussing how an OTT VoLTE app would take advantage of Tier 1's dedicated QOS and resources being reserved for VoLTE to VoLTE calls. Another potentially interesting OTT development would be to include some of the current OTT apps like WhatsApp, Skype, Viber and so on, in hosted PBX services. As users are basically all using mobile devices why not include the mobile device in the enterprise easily by integrating existing OTT apps in the enterprise PBX or Hosted PBX services. WebRTC opens the door for this in design and the fact that the platform is completely open but the current options in this space are limited. It would be a way for a new OTT voice, message and video app to gain market share quickly and finally breakthrough the barrier that seems to separate these applications with the enterprise workspace. Especially when so many of us work from home and use the OTT services as much or more than the voice app included with the mobile phone.
