Volga Dream Announces Special Guest Host for Exclusive Cruise Along Russia's Waterways
Fresh from celebrations of its 10th Anniversary, the family-owned and operated 'Volga Dream' has announced details of an exclusive river cruise for 2018, featuring distinguished British Diplomat Sir Tony Brenton.
Having served as British Ambassador to the Russia Federation during 2004-2008 - the most difficult period in modern British/Russian relations, Sir Tony was awarded the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George (KCMG), a British order of chivalry, by the Queen in 2007.
His 30 years in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) have seen him deal with a huge variety of fascinating and important matters, from economic reform to the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks in the US, providing him with un-paralleled insights that will make for interesting on-board talks.
Sir Tony is also a regular commentator in the “Times”, and is currently writing a book on Russia at the time of Peter the Great.
The special 12-night St Petersburg to Moscow itinerary, departing 12th June 2018, is designed to introduce discerning travellers to the many faces of Russia and will visit: St Petersburg, Svirstroy, Kizhi, Goritsky, Yaroslavl, Uglich and Moscow.
