Tell us about yourself.??

I was born in Hebei Province, China, and currently split my time between Guangzhou and Shenzhen, where my family resides. Each week, I commute to our office in Guangzhou on Mondays and return to Shenzhen on Fridays. I am a proud parent of two boys, aged 13 and 10.??

Where did you grow up and how did this shape you as a person???

I grew up in a small town, and my father was a businessman who was part of the first generation to benefit from China’s economic reform and opening-up policy. In the 1990s, he relocated to Shenzhen, a special economic zone known for its abundant opportunities, particularly in high-tech industries. After graduating, I moved to Shenzhen in 1996 to begin my career in Information Technology.?

What motivates you??

I am motivated by my family, as they provide me with a strong sense of purpose and support. Their encouragement and the desire to create a better future for them drive me to work harder, pursue my goals, and overcome challenges. The wellbeing and success of my family are constant reminders of why I strive for personal and professional growth.??

I am also motivated by the opportunity to work in multicultural environments, as I believe that collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds fosters innovation, broadens perspectives, and enriches problem-solving approaches. Engaging with different cultures not only enhances my ability to adapt to various viewpoints but also helps me contribute more effectively in global settings.?

What does inclusion mean to you??

Inclusion to me means creating a space where everyone, regardless of their background or differences, feels a sense of belonging and can express themselves freely. It’s not just about having diverse voices but ensuring that each voice is genuinely heard and respected. For instance, in a previous project, I made sure we implemented practices that encouraged open dialogue from every team member, which led to richer discussions and better outcomes. I’ve seen first-hand how an inclusive environment fosters innovation and builds stronger, more collaborative teams.?

How do you Celebrate Life Every Way*??

I make it a point to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions of my colleagues, friends, and family, no matter how small, because I believe everyone plays a vital role in making our environments richer and more vibrant. Celebrating life also means embracing a positive mindset, finding joy in everyday moments, and encouraging others to do the same. Whether through acts of kindness, encouragement, or creating a supportive atmosphere, I try to contribute positively to the world around me.??

I celebrate life by being open to continuous learning, challenging myself to grow, and embracing new experiences. This helps me contribute more meaningfully both at work and in life and reflects the CLEW philosophy of recognising and celebrating all aspects of who we are.??
