Tell us about yourself.?

My name is Sam Chan, I was born and raised in Hong Kong, and I've had the privilege of being part of H&H Group for the past 5.5 years. I currently work with a small but dynamic team, handling operations across North Asia, Vietnam, and Emerging Markets.?

How has growing up in Hong Kong shaped you as a person??

Growing up in Hong Kong has deeply influenced who I am today. My family and teachers often reminded me of Hong Kong's transformation from a small fishing village to a vital free trade port and eventually, a major international financial hub. This instilled in me the "Hong Kong Spirit"—a can-do attitude, resilience, and the perseverance to tackle challenges. Recently, I was especially proud of Hong Kong’s athletes, including our two gold medalists in fencing at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Their achievements resonated with me, reinforcing the pride and spirit of our city.?

What motivates you??

I find great motivation and fulfillment in turning challenging situations around, both in my professional and personal life. The quote, "Once you stop learning, you start dying," really resonates with me. I stay curious about new technologies, products, social media trends, and even new cultural phenomena like K-pop and Blackpink. This continuous learning keeps me motivated and feeling alive.?

What does inclusion mean to you??

I feel fortunate to live in Hong Kong, a vibrant city where East meets West, offering a unique blend of cultures. In my role, I interact with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders from Australia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Mongolia, the Philippines and Korea. To me, inclusion means respecting and embracing different cultures and perspectives, seeking common ground while acknowledging our differences, and being open to agreeing to disagree.?

How do you Celebrate Life Every Way*????

As a husband and father, I cherish spending time with my lovely wife and our 4.5-year-old son. Whether it's watching movies, exploring the countryside, or going to church, these moments with my family are revitalising and remind me of what truly matters. We also enjoy participating in community events, like the Run For Girls charity run this year, which supports underprivileged groups around the world.?
