Voices of Consultadd

I come from a small town known as Alibag near Mumbai, Maharashtra. My journey, however, has taken me far from home, all the way to the United States. Let me tell you more.

In 2019, I packed my bags and headed to the US to pursue my master's in data science, graduating in 2020. But my fascination with computers began much earlier, back in 8th grade when my father bought a computer for my elder sister. I was captivated by the hardware, the drives, the RAM - everything about it. The software side of things, however, didn't catch my interest until later when I started exploring social networking and the magic that happens behind the scenes.

During my school years, I had dreams of serving my country. I was taught the importance of contributing to society and helping the country grow. I considered careers in the military or government, but As I delved deeper into the world of computers, I realized my true passion lay in software engineering.

I completed my bachelor's and first master's in computer application from Mumbai University. But I felt the need for more. So, I decided to pursue my second master's in the US.

Arriving in New Jersey and living away from my family wasn't new to me. Since my childhood, I've been staying in hostels, so I was used to it. But when I moved to New Jersey, adjusting to the cold weather was quite a challenge. And then, of course, getting used to the culture took some time, especially during my first two years as a student. But once I landed a job, I started exploring the US, its people, its cuisines, and its history. Speaking of cuisines, I enjoy Thai food. It's not too spicy and has a sweet twist.

Living in the US, I've come to appreciate the quietness, the work culture, and the slower pace of life. It's a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of life in Mumbai. At work, I'm constantly learning new things and skills. One key lesson I've learned is the importance of teamwork and effective communication.

Lately, I've been pretty busy with work. But when I get a chance, I like to relax, read, or explore nearby towns. I'm not a travel junkie, but I do enjoy seeing new places every couple of months. Recently, I moved to Boston, and I've fallen in love with it, especially during the fall season when the trees turn pink, red, and green. It's a sight to behold!

So, that's a little about me, Vikram Nimbalkar, a small-town guy with big dreams, navigating life in the US.?
