I recently learned that the friend and colleague's family supports a unique organization that is making life-changing differences in a part of the world that few consider or even know exist. Their efforts have freed many young ladies from a life of poverty not limited to a lack of food, of safety, clean water and a lack of hope. They don't simply donate their money, but their time and talent by serving on site over each of the last eight years insuring maximum benefit. I would name them, but I know they don't serve for notoriety for themselves, but sharing the cause is what is important.

In some cultures the males have value as hunters and defenders while those born female are given little value. These girls are forced to marry at a young age and become pregnant at an early age.
