Welcome back, dear readers!
Did you miss me? Well, I sure missed you. It's a bittersweet truth that all good things must come to an end, and August is no exception. They don't call it "fall" for nothing, and as the leaves begin to change and the air takes on a crisp chill, we find ourselves bidding farewell to summer's warmth. But do not fear, dear readers, for this edition, I have a surprise in store for you. Since for all the fashion fans out there, fall represents not an end but a new beginning, and it brings with it the most spectacular week of the year – Fashion Week. And nothing says "welcome home" better than a fashion event.
So, as a welcome back gift, I am here to unveil all the dazzling details from the Vogue World London 2023 event, an occasion that set the fashion world on fire.
When Vogue organizes an event and the iconic Anna Wintour graces it with her presence, it is not just an invitation but a mandate for fashion aficionados to attend. And the grand opening of Vogue World London was nothing short of sensational, with supermodel Kate Moss dazzling in John Galliano, her entrance accompanied by the enchanting notes of the Royal Opera House mezzo-soprano, Hongni Wu. The stage was set for a night of artistry and opulence.
As the evening unfolded, a succession of art forms, including dance, singing, acting, and ballet, paid homage to England's rich and ancient culture. But, of course, the moment we all awaited with bated breath was the spectacular finale. It was here that the fashion world collided with tradition in an explosion of black and white, courtesy of renowned fashion houses such as Valentino, Fendi, Versace, and more.
However, there was no moment quite as breathtaking as the finale, where the legendary Annie Lennox took the stage to perform her hits "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" and "There Must Be an Angel (Playing With My Heart)." But that was just the beginning of the spectacle, as the four supermodels of the '90s and Vogue September issue cover stars, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington Burns, Linda Evangelista, and Cindy Crawford, stormed the stage.

Campbell, Turlington Burns, and Evangelista all dazzled in custom looks by Alexander McQueen, Fendi, and Valentino, respectively. But it was Cindy Crawford who stole the show with her daring ensemble – a dress from the Versace Fall 2023 collection, which had been unveiled in an epic show in Los Angeles back in March.
As we reminisced about the '90s and marveled at how these supermodels have maintained their timeless allure, Vogue World London 2023 left us in awe, reminding us that fashion has the power to transcend time and trends.
Here are a couple of tips for all you fashion enthusiasts: First, watch the show stream and immerse yourself in the magical world created by Vogue. Second, take a good look at the guests in attendance; you might just stumble upon some incredible fashion finds.
Lastly, to close this edition, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude and dedicate this fashion chronicles edition to an amazing woman and my best friend, Maria Remy. Without her, I would have never been able to attend this amazing show. Maria, you are the true embodiment of style and grace.
So, dear readers, as we bid adieu to summer and embrace the enchanting world of fall fashion, let's remember that every ending is a new beginning, and the world of fashion continues to inspire and captivate us like no other. Welcome back to the wonderful world of the Fashion Chronicles!
Great summary and exciting to be there I am sure
