Do you feel the difference when working with someone that loves their job versus someone that just there for the paycheck? Do you have a greater trust in someone that has a passion for their career? I think we can all point to examples where this is true.
Imagine trusting one of the most emotional decisions of your life, choosing a bridal gown, to someone that wasn't passionate about the bride's experience. Brittany Overbeck has been passionate about bridal gowns since junior high school. She spent countless hours sketching bridal gowns and dreaming new ideas. Like many, when it came time to choose a career she listened to the advice of her father, skeptical that a degree in art would be financially viable for his little girl.
Brittany earned a degree in event management and tried her hand at the corporate life. However, planning weddings, events and large galas wasn't close enough to her dream. Frustrated and unfulfilled, she made the leap and purchased Blue House Bridal. Her love of the gowns and event planning experience makes a Blue House Bridal experience different.
Just off Main St in downtown Carmel is an unassuming house ready to greet you to feel completely 'at home' while you shop for a gown for your magical day. An intimate environment for you and your guests to relax, sip champagne and truly enjoy the experience of choosing a bridal gown. Once inside, you're greeted and shown into Instragram-worthy rooms.
Brittany and her team are the combination of professional and BFF. Most brides come to the shop with magazine cut outs and Pinterest boards of their inspiration dresses. Brittany's team masterfully meets those expectations while recommending gowns to fit the style and fit of each of their clients. There's a special love and skill to help a nervous bride navigate the "opinions" of their family and bridal party.
I've watched Brittany painstakingly pick every detail to create an unforgettable experience in her store. I've listened to her calm a nervous bride and give her the courage to choose the gown she loved over pleasing the opinions of others, masterfully blending her expertise in the fitting of a gown and the love and caring of a lifelong friend.
Brittany's love of all things bridal creates the perfect environment for you, your family and friends to feel "at home" at Blue House Bridal. I'm proud to refer my clients and their daughters into this magical experience. As a mentor to Brittany and her business, she's graciously donated wine tumblers for the VIP Swag Bags for my Stand Tall in Your Story event on March 5th. You can learn more about Brittany's story from this podcast episode.
