Vocal Media: The New Medium?

Recently, Jamie Northrup of Minimalist Hustler pub, along with several other notable and reputable writers on Medium.com have been getting suspended. Then later, after Medium discovered that it made a mistake, were reinstated.

What kind of bullshit is that?

If you are ever in this predicament, I suggest you post all your Medium articles on Vocal Media. That’s what I did to avoid this type of situation from happening to me…or to anyone else…if they take my advice!

Vocal.media is a platform similar to Medium that allows creators to publish articles in communities and make money in various ways.

Benefits include:

Bonuses: The platform rewards writers with bonuses for getting to a specific milestones, like publishing ten articles, liking fifteen stories, or getting to 1,000 reads. Also, creators may earn a bonus for other accomplishments, like getting engagement on the platform’s social media pages or featured as a “Top Story.”

Article reads: Writers make money based upon reading time just like Medium, with free members making $3.80/1,000 reads and Vocal+ members making $6/1000 reads. Challenges: Creators may enter challenges for an opportunity to win prizes. Tips: Readers are encouraged to tip creators for stories they enjoy, and members of Vocal+ get a bigger tip portion.

Tips on community growth

Try to Subscribe to 20 other writers per day and tip them if possible. Share your stories on your social network and encourage your readers to do the same.
