"Time has taught us that we must make 'local', the master of our lives. Global brands that are there today were once local too. But when people started supporting them, they became global. That is why from today, every Indian must become vocal for our local," the Prime Minister said in an address to the nation on 13th May 2020.
So, basically, the topic refers to buying and endorsing local products (like we had done before with khadi, which had worked very well). Covid -19 taught India the importance of being local. During this crisis, all our demands were met locally and the Covid-19 crisis has given an impetus to local products, as during the present crisis it is the local people who have fulfilled the demand, saving India from duress. People making local products need support and being Indian it is our responsibility to buy those products. The term 'Vocal for Local' not only means to buy local products but also to be vocal about promoting them proudly. If the people of our country will adopt the 'Vocal for Local' mantra, then many Indian products can become truly global.
So, let's do our part in buying our local products and making India self-radiant.
