Vo kaam(Work) bhala kya kaam hua.. My Mojo at Work
People who know me have always seen me enjoying my work or even activities outside of my work to the fullest.?I make sure, I put my 100% into it. This weekend I was sitting with a friend over a cup of tea, and he asked me are you enjoying the new role? Isn’t it new learning again? Why do I go for nonlinear career moves?
?It was a good reflection and a pause moment for me… It reminded me of a famous poem, I am big fan of, by Piyush Mishra, which goes as follow… few snippets …
"vo kaam bhala kya kaam hua, jis kaam ka bojha sar pe ho…
?vo kaam bhala kya kaam hua, jo matar sareekha halka ho…
?vo kaam bhala kya kaam hua, jisamen na jaan ragadatee ho..
?vo kaam bhala kya kaam hua, jisamen na jaan ragadatee ho…
?vo kaam bhala kya kaam hua, jisamen na thasak sikandar kee..."

?I think what I like about every job or “Kam” I do, is not exactly the title or outcomes, I am responsible for, but the elements involved in doing that work.
In last couple of years, I have realized that there are a few things, which are driving forces of my decisions and choosing the work I do..
?#1 New Learnings– I am always energized by learning new things, be it technology or business. I have never grown vertically in my functions.
?#2 Cross-collaboration – I thrive in a cross-collaboration environment; I love bringing teams together and rallying around for a common goal or purpose.
?#3 Complexities - Work which involves bringing pieces of puzzles together, I like dealing with ambiguous situations and bringing clarity of execution with simplicity.
?#4 Interactions – “All human interactions are opportunities either to learn or to teach”, Famous quote from M. Scott Peck. I am careful in selecting my job, it necessarily should involve external and internal conversations every day. I get a lot of energy from being in front of customers and partners. My team is what keeps me going every morning.?
These 4 things are my Mojo in life about my work… what gives you the Mojo, would love to hear your thoughts.
