VMware has extended the support for vSphere 7 by an additional six months. Originally set to exit support in April 2025, the new end-of-support date is now October 2025.
This extension provides VMware users with more time to plan their migration to newer versions such as vSphere 8 or possibly version 9.0, which may be discussed at the upcoming VMware Explore conference.
This move is seen as a positive development for VMware customers, especially after recent licensing changes introduced by Broadcom, which have led to significant cost increases. It allows for a smoother transition and more time for businesses to adapt to the new licensing models and prepare for future upgrades.
