VMware on AWS - what affect will that have on the on premises VMware/VCP infrastructure role?
Will that role have to get AWS skills?
Will that role have to get AWS certs?
Should people in that role also get Azure skills/certs?
Will there be a wave of VMware consultancy projects working out what sits in the Cloud or stays on premises?
If so are VMware partners / consultancies / contractors rubbing their hands with glee?

7 年VMware on AWS - what affect will that have on the on premises VMware/VCP infrastructure role? Not much difference, remember it's still vSphere just running in AWS data center. Will that role have to get AWS skills? Not necessarily, but these would be good skills to have. Depends how much your organization will leverage AWS services from VMware Cloud on AWS. Will that role have to get AWS certs? Depends see answer above but generally not needed. Should people in that role also get Azure skills/certs? Not relevant foe this service. Will there be a wave of VMware consultancy projects working out what sits in the Cloud or stays on premises? Not sure. If so are VMware partners / consultancies / contractors rubbing their hands with glee?
