  • Video Efficiency: Deloitte created 102 fully edited and branded employee story videos in just 4 days with VideoMyJob.

"It took us only 4 days to turn it around…we briefed them, showed them how to use the tool, and in like 3 days all the videos were done. I just had to sit down and get the popcorn out and just watch and vet them" Poncho recalled.

  • AI Editing: VideoMyJob’s AI Editing removed all the heavy lifting, resulting in ZERO editing required from Poncho and his team.

"I feel very confident to tell you there was no editing involved at all. I did not have to touch anything to edit... It literally just came across exactly like we do our videos, with the bars and the lines and the text and like, everything was exactly the same" Poncho said.

  • 50% Increase in Graduate Applications: Since incorporating employee story content through VideoMyJob's Story Feed.
  • 125% Engagement Boost: By showcasing authentic employee stories on platforms like GradConnection.
  • Enhanced Relatability: Amplifying real employee experiences boosted connection with Deloitte's audience.

"If they feel that the brand is a little bit more genuine and not everything out there is super curated, they're just seeing a graduate recording a video from the comfort of their own home. That's a lot more relatable."

VMJPod with Hung Lee & David Maccicoca

Thought leader Hung Lee - Editor and community builder at Recruiting Brainfood -?and VideoMyJob 's CEO, David Macciocca explore how incorporating video can significantly enhance talent attraction and retention.

During the session, Hung Lee emphasised the shift in media consumption habits:

“You have to be living under a rock not to recognise that just general media consumption is moving away from reading words on screen and more about watching stuff on screen, typically watching on smaller screens in shorter bursts. And that's where we're going as consumers,” said Hung.

The discussion echoed a critical realisation for talent leaders: adapt or fall behind. Video isn't just a nice-to-have; it's a necessity in today's market.

Despite the clear benefits, the adoption rate for video in recruitment remains surprisingly low. As David explained, several challenges impede this transition:

“It is hard to create good content, and people are nervous on video. Brands find it really hard, particularly large organisations, to give a sense of flexibility and freedom to employees to create content,” said David.

David highlighted another significant barrier: ownership. Typically, content creation falls within the marketing department’s remit, which is already stretched thin with campaigns, ads, and other responsibilities.

“Not all talent acquisition teams are tied so closely to marketing teams. Marketing is pretty busy… They’re trying to sell their products or build service streams for their sales team, not necessarily to attract talent” said David.

The solution lies in fostering a collaborative approach, leveraging tools that streamline the video production process while adhering to brand guidelines. Here’s where VideoMyJob comes into play.

The platform simplifies the process of creating and managing employee-generated videos, ensuring that every piece of content adheres to brand guidelines while allowing employees to authentically share their experiences. This balance of control and authenticity is crucial for large organisations wanting to amplify their employer brand.

But the key to this approach is not just the creation of videos but also the timing and placement of these assets. As candidates visit career sites, they are actively seeking information that will help them make informed decisions. Video content placed strategically on these platforms can significantly impact their perception and increase engagement rates.

Hung Lee reinforced this idea:

“What you have to do there is be able to provide evidence of what your company really is, and this is where employee-generated video content is so powerful, particularly if the employees are answering questions that the candidate themselves may have about the company.”

In conclusion, leveraging video for talent attraction is not just a trend but a strategic move that can set companies apart in a competitive market. With tools like VideoMyJob, organisations can seamlessly produce and manage high-quality video content that resonates with potential candidates, making the entire recruitment process more efficient and effective.
