The Vlcheks sing Florida

Rule #1 when launching a successful valbum: Involve as many people as you can. It was a normal fall Saturday afternoon so we invited a bunch of talented and well meaning friends over and made them hang out in our basement while we wrestled with cameras and cajoled lights to shine. 

Valbum launch rule #2: Bring in a ringer. So there we are with Ben Nesrallah, I hand him the Strat and he dials in his sound on the Laney and its a go. Took him maybe 90 seconds. 

Viral video album launch rule #3: Yer gonna need, not a good song, a great freakin song. Florida. This little ditty penned by the lovely and wonderful Mathias Kom of the Burning Hell, Canada’s most well travelled band. So reach on over and tick that box. 

Rule number #4: Get all the camera’s rolling and the lights shining and say action!... and magic … damn.. ok make a video out of every thing that happened to work and then drag every single bit of other footage you can from the rest of the project, and, voi-freakin-là: a love-fest tribute to the whole damn valbum and the best music video that evah was.
