Vivatech - SunAir Fountain? panels take center stage

Day 1 – Agua de Sol at the IFPEN stand - Good contacts - interesting conversations non-stop

The focus is on the SunAir Fountain? Panel: “Our concept is convincing,” says Luc Métivier, CEO of Agua de Sol, summing up the first day. In all that high-tech here at Vivatech, our low-tech solution stands out. And the advantages are immediately obvious:

- The SunAir Fountain? panels can be manufactured and assembled in the countries of use because the materials are easy to obtain.

- This saves transport costs and CO2 - only the core elements come from Europe.

- This creates added value, jobs and product knowledge locally, which makes us flexible and our service unsurpassed.

One topic is increasingly coming to the fore:

Irrigation water – "water that you can eat"

It's no secret, 70 percent of our water is used in agriculture: This means: ? Agriculture production is highly dependent on water and increasingly subject to water risks. Improving agriculture’s water management is therefore essential to a sustainable and productive agro-food sector. ? (OECD).

And the many small local businesses are often the first to be affected:

Luc Métivier: “With our SunAir Fountain? we could save thousands of greenhouses, vertical and small farms.” They require much less water than conventional agriculture, but they need water and we are developing a SunAir Fountain? Agri model specifically for tailored to these concerns. ?

Overall, different innovations are combined with local knowledge: “We combine shade (panel) + drip irrigation + local weather data _ polymer (to retain water at the plant’s root)”. This is what it says in a presentation from Agua de Sol.
