Viva connection allows us to bring SharePoint intranet site in MS Teams
1. Create SharePoint intranet site
2. Set it as home site (from SharePoint Admin Portal)
3. Login into SharePoint intranet site, click on setting and enable global navigation
4. Click on setting, select "manage viva connection", configure viva dashboard.
Now login to teams admin center, click on add apps. Here you need to add "Viva connections" app, you can find this app with the name of your Intranet site, select, add it.
It takes 24 hours for changes to be reflected, with this step you have added your intranet portal to teams, now we need to show the app to global users.
To show app to all users: In teams admin center, select Setup policies (under Teams apps), click on "Global(Org-wide default)" , here you can see all apps that are visible to all users in teams left navigation.
Click on Add app , search with intranet site name and add it. Sign out from your teams app, sign in back to see SharePoint intranet site added to teams.
