The vital role of Global Engaged Partners for driving innovation
By Ana-Claire Bernardes , Content Evangelist, IABM
Global Engaged Partners (GEPs), IABM community of leaders working at organizations that buy MediaTech, are at the core of the MediaTech innovation conversation, continuously pushing boundaries and shaping the future of our industry. Their contributions aren’t just valuable—they are essential to the dynamic progress we’re witnessing across the sector.?
The IABM’s Global Engaged Partner program brings together leading technology decision makers from world leading media organizations. A standout moment recently was during the IABM’s IBC Opening Session for the conference, where Carlos Octavio Queiroz from Globo and Renard Jenkins from I2A2 Technologies, Studios & Labs were invited to share their perspectives on navigating the new media landscape as part of the highly anticipated “State of the Industry” briefing. The room was packed with an engaged and enthusiastic audience—a true testament to the depth of expertise and insight our GEPs bring to the table.??
As Renard Jenkins emphasized during the session, “Inclusive innovation is the way we operate; it's a process we've designed, built for both the scientific method and a human-centered approach. These elements are crucial when integrating artificial intelligence, especially generative AI. If you introduce it with fear, you may encounter resistance. However, by educating people alongside the innovation process, they will adapt to the changes.”?
Carlos Octavio Queiroz also highlighted the importance of collaboration in innovation: “AI in the creative process has huge potential to enhance and produce better content for consumers. To avoid silos, it’s essential to have a multidisciplinary team and participation across the company.”?
These insights from our Global Engaged Partners reflect not only the challenges we face but also the immense potential of working collaboratively to drive innovation in MediaTech. Their leadership continues to set the course for a transformative future.?
