A visual flowchart always creates an impact, more so when it's an"Emergency Response Plan". The methodology always proves highly effective!!

Making things visual and impact-ful is always the requirement of any training session and to convey a key message, one has to use all the available tools to create an impact.
When we have to cater for a camp site, which is away from local population, it becomes more critical. I always tried to work out something which is visual, so that it could create a lasting impression on the minds of all key personnel.
Here is an example template of " Emergency Response Plan (ERP)". When a project site is remote, it's very essential that the ERP is well thought of and creates a well defined communication flow, which should be effective and conclusive. Responsibilities and actions should be clearly defined and all the personnel to be communicated and trained to address any emergency, which may arise during operation!!
The more it gets connected, better it is, for any operational unit. I try to deploy same methodology to train people on processes / procedures / work instructions, also.
Sharing such templates gives rise to some useful comments, suggestions. It goes without saying that, I use those suggestions & comments to further improve upon my approach and that becomes a continual improvement process towards my professional competence!!

8 年Oh this is great. I love the running help. A great way to get things across in a more streamlined manner vs flipping through books or binders for a procedure.
