Vistara starts direct flights on the Pune-Singapore route
Pune and Singapore now have daily direct flights on full-service airline Vistara. The airline announced that it will fly its A321neo aircraft four times a week on this route.
According to a press statement, "The inaugural flight flew from Pune at 02:10 IST and arrived in Singapore at 10:30 GMT."
Jyotiraditya Scindia, the union's minister of civil aviation, essentially signalled the start of the first flight.
"We are thrilled to be able to link Pune and Singapore, two cities that have not previously been directly connected. Demand for air travel between the two cities is increasing, particularly from business travellers "Vinod Kannan, CEO of Vistara stated.
The airline has a fleet of 54 aircraft, including three Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, five Airbus A321neos, five Boeing 737-800NGs, and 41 Airbus A320s.
