VISITING THE TEMPLE AND SLEEP
Each one of our senses is useful to get information from our surroundings and our body. Collected information will be transmitted to the brain, where it will be processed and perceived and combined to create a complete picture of our environment. But, lack of sleep leads to Mental issues such as irritability, anxiety, depression, poor judgement, poor decision-making skills, poor memory, lack of attention and focus, and concentration, and non-communicable diseases like hypertension, Diabetes mellitus, Weight gain, Stroke, Heart attack, cancer, and Insomnia. Researchers believe that sleep helps you to promote a healthy and quality lifestyle. According to recent research findings, there is a strong association between sleep and health. Hope you all will agree with me. If we have a deep quality sleep, all organs of the body become strong and make us happier and healthier.
Now let me tell you some interesting facts about Sleep and visiting the temple:
Light: Natural light, Deepam.
Sound: Musical sounds like a bell, mantras, and slokas.
Smell: Flowers, sandalwood (Chandana), Sambrani, Agarbathi, Kumkum and turmeric/vibhoodhi all are the best fragrances.
Taste: Teertha, prasadam, food, and coconut.
Touch: Folding both hands
Movement: Walking at least for 5 minutes around the garbhagriha also called Pradakshina.
Heat: Aarati, yagna’s and deepam
Cold: Bathing in pond/river.
Water: Washing the legs, and hands, and having Tulsi Teertha which purifies our body and helps us to stay strong.
Earth: A barefoot walking
Sky: An open place

Cloth: Traditional clothes
Prayer/Silence
Meditation/Dhyana
Doing Spiritual rituals
Visualization
Cleanliness/ hygiene
Serine, peaceful and spiritual atmosphere
Focus / Concentration
No entry for digital devices like cameras and mobiles.
Now, guess in which place all these can be seen, feel, and experienced? Yes, you are right i.e., VISITING TEMPLE. Fortunately, if you visit the temple, you will experience the above benefits which can lead to deep quality SLEEP.
