A VISIT TO THE SHRINE

In 2023, I visited a couple of places. One of them was a community with access to stable electricity, I was offered chilled cold malt which is one of the best Malt drink's I have taken (literally a core memory for me). I was so excited and I decided to vlog (In 2024, I will stop hoarding content, Amen!). We kept taking this walk under the hot sun and someone told me to put my phone down that we were about to pass a shrine. The outside looked like the Nollywood shrine, with leaves at the entrance and red looking objects inside. I didn't go inside but I seized a glance.
Physically, I have never been to a shrine but from Nigerian movies, I have an idea of how they work. Whether the members fly by broom, crawl like cockroaches, sleep and their spirit travels members arrive at the shrine on time. Then the priests or priestess proceeds with the agenda, decisions are made, food made me serves, creed is recited and people fly home.
Why am I sharing this with you? Order, structures and systems! Organizations and Individuals that record success have these pillars working for them. You don't have to like a shrine but if it works then they have orders structures and systems.
Over time I used used some structures that have worked for me and I will share here.
Document everything: I gained admission in 2017, I joined Instagram shortly after but I kept a very low profile. However, I documented my work and certain areas of my life through writing, sentimental items and media files. When I graduated in 2021 I paid someone to make a video (since I could not edit then) documenting my social impact journey over the period of 4 years. Whether you are shy, or you like sharing or you are deliberating hoarding. Document everything because you will need them later.Still speaking on this point. I created a folder on my PC and Drive it is called "Growth". Under this folder there are sub folders like certifications, references and recommendations, applications.
Sometimes we make applications and we get a rejection, not because of our application but due to forces beyond our control. However using the exact same application for a different program might get you a congratulatory email. Also we can go back to the applications we made, learn and improve from them to increase our chances for the next application.
Over sharing and over consumption: Technology has made the world closer and smaller yet people are unhappier because of over sharing and over consumption. You see something one and it makes you evaluate your life in a way that puts pressure on you forcing you to share the changes you have made just to fit into a narrative and thus the cycle continues. It is also to share and consume but these should be done from a place of "contentment" rather than "competition or envy".
Keep your mind open till you hear my next thoughts,
