Happy Saturday, LinkedIn friends! ??
In this weekend's edition of my newsletter ??, I share a portion of my journal entry, recapping my recent visit to Rockefeller Center to check out the World's Most Famous Christmas Tree.??Let's do it!
Now, please take a moment and imagine ?? me on a jam-packed F-train, riding it over to Rockefeller Center to see the iconic tree ?? on a cold and windy evening in the Big ??.
As I was standing beside the double doors in the center of the F-train with three stops to go before arriving at the Rockefeller Center subway station, all of a sudden, I began craving some hot cocoa. Yikes! ?
So when I arrived at my stop and the conductor opened the doors, I politely elbowed my way off the train and rushed to the first food truck vendor I could find. There, I waited in line to buy a fresh cup of hot chocolate ? with marshmallows to satisfy my hot cocoa craving.
Now with a blazing hot cup of cocoa ? in my left hand, I started walking ???? towards the Giant Christmas Ornament Balls and the Reflecting Pool on 6th Avenue, which sits directly across from Radio City Music Hall.
Before going to where the famous Christmas Tree ?? sits, I stopped ?? near the Giant Candy Cane ?? holiday display on 6th Avenue and 50th Street to enjoy my overpriced cup of cocoa. Lol!
Once I got myself situated on a bench close to the large candy canes, I opened the lid to my hot drink ? to take a few sips.
As soon as I opened the lid, I couldn't help but notice the steam ?? rushing out of my 12-ounce red and green styrofoam?cup, along with the delightful smell of the hot chocolate.
After drinking my hot cocoa, I felt nice and warm inside, and I was now ready to visit the famed Christmas Tree ??, which was only a block away. Let's go!
The next thing I knew, Mickey and Minnie Mouse were asking for some cash ?? to take a photo ?? with them.?Say what?
After a brief and friendly conversation, I kindly declined their offer. Lol!
After that pleasant exchange, I continued my walk ???? toward the gigantic tree.???
Moments later, I was standing near the 82ft tall Christmas Tree ?? admiring its beauty for a few minutes, and then I proceeded to roam ???? around Rockefeller Plaza.?
