Visit Lisbon & Setúbal Peninsula
Close to Lisbon, the Setúbal Peninsula offers corners of incomparable beauty, ideal for family outings, but also for lovers.Crossing d the 25 de Abril bridge towards Sesimbra, but in the middle we stop at Cabo Espichel. Upon reaching the promontory, we were struck by the isolated Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Cape. It is a place that inspires us to contemplate the sea and the long Arriba Fossil of the Coast of Caparica that is seen on the right side, on the west coast.
We continue to the castle of Sesimbra. Before descending to the beach, we enjoyed the view over the bay of this south-facing viewpoint, with the colorful fishermen's boats on the horizon.
Being a good day for bathing or not, it is worth taking a stroll along the beaches, strolling through Portinho da Arrábida, Galapos and Figueirinha, already in the Natural Park of Serra da Arrábida.
Very close, Vila Nogueira de Azeit?o is known for its wine production. A Moscatel wine tasting at one of the famous wineries is mandatory, accompanied by a typical buttery cheese.
Finally, you absolutely must try the seafood or grilled fish at beachfront with a spectacular view; it's really good.
