Are you planning to attend the 2022 Black Engineers of the Year (BEYA) STEM Global Competitiveness Conference next week? ?If so, stop by the Virtual Career Fair (Feb 18 – 19) to meet with USACE’s Institute for Water Resources (IWR).?
?In lieu of an in-person job fair, BEYA will take place in a two-dimensional virtual village, known as BEYA World II. Attendees will have the opportunity to visit IWR’s virtual booth, where Dr. Michael Pfenning and Ms. Erin Rooks from IWR’s Water Resource Center in Alexandria, VA, will be present.?It will be a great opportunity to learn more and ask questions about the exciting STEM careers that IWR (and USACE) have to offer!

What is BEYA??BEYA operates at the intersection of the needs of the audiences it serves and those of the STEM employer. BEYA offers the employer a forum to build and nurture the STEM pipeline beginning as early as middle school and continues to include the experienced executive transitioning to seats on corporate boards. BEYA offers its many audiences training, access to information and trending ideas from thought leaders, employment opportunities, networking, and a place to be recognized for accomplishments.

WHY:?USACE will be recruiting post-secondary students, recent graduates and journey level positions using direct hire authority for multiple disciplines and grade levels, from GS-03 to GS-14.?Depending on position/location selected, promotion potential will be the GS-05, 07, 09, 11,12, and/or 13 levels.?We encourage students, graduates, and practicing professionals to stop by the Career Fair.
