Artist Jamele Wright Sr. paid Pigment International the highest compliment by citing our 2021 article about him in ART with being one of the best ever written about him.??Wright is keeping it moving, literally as he relocates his home over the holiday. His work was most recently seen with September Gray Gallery at Red Dot in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood.?“My work creates a conversation about family, tradition, the spiritual and material, the relationship between Africa and the South. My process is influenced by the way hip-hop gathers different cultures together through sampling and is charged with an energy channeled and passed through the Pan African lineage.”
