  • LZ-16KG5-M: Features an impressive 400 kHz line rate and a 16K x 16 pixel resolution.

Innovative Demo Setup

In this demo, we highlight the capabilities of our line-scan cameras by scanning a printed sheet of paper mounted on a drum rotating on a vertical axis. Here's how it works:

  • High-Speed Scanning: The cameras capture line-by-line images as the drum rotates, utilizing its built-in encoder for precise synchronization.
  • Real-Time Processing: Images are transferred from the cameras to the processing unit using GigE Vision 3.0 RDMA/RoCEv2, ensuring ultra-fast data transfer with zero frame drops.
  • Advanced Software Integration: We employ our eCapture Pro software and eSDK for best-in-class zero-copy driver performance, enhancing efficiency and reducing latency.

Pioneering GigE Vision 3.0 RDMA/RoCEv2

Our demo is the first to deploy GigE Vision 3.0 RDMA/RoCEv2 up to 100GigE, the latest addition to the GigE Vision standard expected to be officially released in 2025. This technology provides:

  • Zero-Copy RDMA (Remote Direct Memory Access): Enables direct data transfer between the camera and GPU or system memory without CPU intervention, significantly reducing latency and CPU load.
  • RoCEv2 (RDMA over Converged Ethernet v2): Allows RDMA over standard Ethernet networks, providing high throughput and low latency while maintaining compatibility with existing network infrastructure.

Things change quickly in our developments. Eros was planned to be 5GigE in release but provisioned for 10GigE. Turns out that at 29mm x 29mm Emergent will present at the Vision Show (VISION) the smallest and lowest power Eros 10GigE cameras in both RJ45/10GBaseT/POE and SFP+ forms. Power consumption of the 10GBaseT model with POE is about 4.8W and without POE 4W. For the SFP+ single mode fiber model, the power drops to an astonishing 3W. Will also be lowest cost! All this while running the Sony IMX540 25Mpix sensor at 30fps. This beats ALL providers of 5G and 10G cameras with a substantial margin.
