Frederick Botchway’s approach to photography and painting breaks traditional boundaries. His work incorporates elements of Western art history while infusing them with contemporary Ghanaian contexts. By superimposing cooking oil with oil paint on photographic prints, Botchway creates unique pieces that challenge the conventional hierarchy of artistic genres.
