VISIONEERING

VISIONEERING

VISIONEERING-MY EPISTLE TO YOUNG FOLKS

When it comes to things pertaining to the fulfilment of your God-given vision. Joseph readily comes to mind. He was a young, dynamic and visionary man sent ahead to preserve in many ways. One key lesson we have to learn early in visioneering is that the interpretation of your dream and vision will come in phases and progressively- especially as you go through the processes of maturity. Never fall into the error of placing restrictive definitions on your vision based on your present realities and understanding. As you progress, you will definitely plan. Don’t place a ceiling on top of what you are yet to fully comprehend. It takes time for some aspects of your vision to be clear to you. Don’t be in a hurry to put up a definitive vision or mission statement with no room for adjustments. Create allowances and adjust as the Spirit refines you. Here are some tips from the story of Joseph that will help us young folks from all walks of life in the art of visioneering:

1. Joseph at 17 is typically like most young men, strong, bold and visionary with a coat of many colours (multitasking and multitalented) as well as solid dreams.

2. Joseph understood the power of a dream (a multidimensional sighting of the will of God handed down to us and beyond us) and he could vividly articulate the limited dynamics and the possibilities of His dream at 17.

3. Like most visionary young men, until you go through the process and syllabus of visioneering as instituted by the Holy Spirit, the best you can do, like Joseph is to give a local, restrictive and myopic interpretation of your God-given dream. It will take the ministry of the Spirit to fully comprehend the things of the Spirit.

4. The limited interpretation of his dreams was so real to him that his brothers were not comfortable with their ‘placement’ in his dreams. This is typically the case when there is a semi-permeable membrane between vision and ambition. Typically, most young men mix up vision and ambition. It takes a process to separate the two.

5. In life like Joseph, there will always be ‘oppositions’ to your dreams. Dreaming and affirming may make the environment uncomfortable for them, get used to that!

6. Like Joseph, we operate in an environment where dreamers may firstly be hated by those who’ll eventually be beneficiaries of their dreams.

7. Opposition and resistance to a God-given vision is proof that there is something valuable in the dream. Remember someone shouted, ‘I have a dream’ and moments later, he was shot dead. There are those who cannot stand dreamers.

8. Wherever there is resistance and opposition to your dream like Joseph, it is usually an invitation to ‘process’. This is what many describe as crises, challenges or betrayal; it is within these negative developments that the art of visioneering is born.

9. It is in this crisis phase that you begin to realize that your dream as a visionary young man is one layered application in a multi-layered concentrated value chain of the will of God called THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM.

10. A crisis is an invite into this flow- this single flow blesses all the families of the Earth. This flow is what the LORD is seeking to connect you with for putting a vision in your heart, the opposition of your ‘brothers’ to your dream and the consequences thereof are by design and default to drive you to God, the original source of the dream.

11. In order for your dream to gain traction, you must enter into a flow aimed at rebirth and reformation of your personality and values as you are forged into the kind of vessel that can carry the requirements of a solid vision. Like Joseph, you must undergo rebirth on many fronts, and you must be repositioned to see that you are an extension of what God said to Abraham.

12. This process that Joseph went through can best be described as ‘the word of the Lord trying you’; when the word of the Lord is the trial judge, you will be sentenced to many things; they come in various shapes and sizes but in the end, it is for capacity building, refinement and total internal reconfiguration for you to appreciate the rulership of God in the affairs of men. As the word of the Lord tried Joseph, he was laid in iron and they hurt his feet with fetters. As a decoy and by default, he was being integrated into the various aspects of the Egyptian society where he would eventually become a prime minister.

13. Please know that God does not use an untested vessel. He must prepare you for what he has prepared for you.

14. God has a big agenda and he is introducing you to the big things via locking you into the womb of the Spirit to do a work in you through which you will experience a rebirth. This is also known as the chastening of the father.

15. The high point of this season is that unknown to many and possibly yourself, you are beginning to enter into what God has in store for you. When you come to realize this, you will see how important it was that your brothers sell you into slavery. Within the vision, value chain, hatred and opposition become assets.

16. The moment you enter into what God has done for you in Christ, oppositions become opportunities as you know that all you have is God.

17. Many years ago God spoke to Abraham about what would happen to his seeds. You are the seed of Abraham and you are practically experiencing, in your own way, what every seed of Abraham would experience. In our DNA, we are like stars and sand of the sea. No matter how difficult the matter is, there is only one outcome- progress. Affliction brings out the best in us. We always come out with great possessions. We all have our individualized versions of this Abrahamic descendant, which flow and are uniquely integrated into our lives by the Holy Spirit.

18. By default, you are a star destined to enter ‘foreign’ systems where people ‘afflict’ you in order for you to come up with great resources. Affliction is by default, a covenant resource activator.

19. Resonance with the move of the Spirit is activated the moment you conclude that God sent you ahead to preserve life and you are ‘cool’ with those who ‘sold’ you into ‘slavery’. These people have actually provided transportation for you into destiny. Without them, you’d have been at home, missing out on the bigger possibilities and dimensions of your dream.

20. It wasn’t about brothers that ‘sold’ you or the ‘Ishmaelites that ‘bought’ you or ‘Mrs. Potiphar that lied against you or ‘Potiphar’ that threw you into the dungeon or the ‘butler’ who forgot you. It was all along about you and GOD with these other individuals acting as transporters without any iota of understanding of the script.

21. Remember, Mrs Potiphar may be pleasant to the eye but not fit for purpose. Traps of destiny come in many dimensions, please watch out!

22. At the end of it all, the moment you embrace and enter into what God has done for you, the past will begin to make sense.

23. For Joseph, it ended in globalization where he presided over a global food supply chain to bless all the families of the earth.

24. The real deal is this- the Lord, taking you out of the realm of fighting for prominence and trying to outshine one another (even though brothers), is a sign that you have not started visioneering.

25. That you are wearing a coat of many colours is not a sign that you have started your assignment. It is a pointer to the fact that the future is multidimensional.

26. Like Joseph, after going through the process, you are about to lead the charge in global collaborations across cultures and geographies.

27. There will always be a ‘below the radar’ opportunity to demonstrate leadership and responsibility. Things must continue in some kind of dungeon: a period when you are not showing on the horizon and you have to work with ‘inmates’ by letting them know they matter and helping them to give sense to their dreams, as well as respecting them enough regardless of their status in life. It is also a period where you have to be yourself irrespective.

28. Without necessarily being engaged with politics, every seed of Abraham is by default a nation builder. Like Joseph, we may need to teach our senators wisdom.

29. There is a nation-building aspect of your calling and vision as our DNA is coded with bases that make up for a great nation.

30. Like Joseph, how on earth could you have known that his vision would involve rulership in Egypt, international relations, diplomacy, development of an economic blueprint, strategic agricultural intervention, the building of storage infrastructure, changing the land tenure system, immigration, national security, foreign trade, lecturing senators, mentoring princes and so on and so forth? Please be encouraged and know that all that is happening to you is God preparing you. May God help us. Please be encouraged.
