Visionaries move different.

"I've surrendered to the pace of everyone else."
I was catching up with a friend of mine last week. He's on the cutting edge of his industry right now. We were talking about the momentum he's feeling as we approach 2025.
He expressed in so many words that he was in the midst of an evolution--shedding skins and chasing new horizons. It was clear to me that he was more than just hopeful for the future, he was bullish and intentional about it.
And yet, underneath of it was a bit of disdain for himself, about the way things unfolded this year, "I've surrendered to the pace of everyone else." There wasn't a hint of defeat in his voice and he had fire in his eyes. I leaned in.
He went on to explain how he had accepted the limitations of others as if they were his own. Calls getting pushed to Monday, actions getting further and further from triggers. He lost touch, if only for a moment.
You see, Visionaries are both delicate and fragrant in the same light--sensitive to their environment but they'll grow through concrete if they have to. Over time they develop thorns with sharp edges to cut through the noise and separate signal from static.
Eventually, they don't even submit to time; they stack it and flip it, they thread and twist it. They bend it to their will.
Heres the message.
Don't surrender to the pace of everyone else. Don't rush but move without delay. Don't submit to time but strive for perfect timing.
