Vision Is Greater Than The Visionary

Vision Is Greater Than The Visionary

A vision is Godly inspired. Most visions arise as a result of God’s inspiration in our lives, and indeed a vision is greater than the visionary. When you get a vision, you must work towards understanding it and becoming comfortable with it.

Sometimes that vision that is inspired by God is so powerful that it scares us. It’s normal and okay to be scared because we tend to jump too far ahead and to stress about what we don’t know. Once you get to know your vision, don’t panic. Take the time to write it down and to understand it.

Vision is not the mission

This means that the vision is not the how you will achieve it, but it is what you will achieve. The mission is how and what you will do in order to achieve your vision. In essence, vision is about the future, a mission is about the present.

A Team Effort

And most importantly, vision is always given to the individual and completed by the corporate, completed by the team. If you think back to the Bible, the great leaders, they all went off by themselves to get the vision. They would then go back to the rest of the group and share their vision, after which they would develop a mission that enabled them to achieve their goals as a group.

In a nutshell, a vision is a team-effort, a shared responsibility that is greater than the visionary.
