Vision ?? & Goals ??

I think sometimes in business, when doing the day to day, it’s easy to forget the importance and impact of both.?

And sometimes they become just words that nobody really believes or tries to achieve.?

For me, vision is the most important ingredient in creating something special.?

But just like the literal sense, vision can be blurred or in some cases, it can be lost altogether.?

Now not to be dramatic (wouldn’t be like me ??) but imagine I said to you that you were going to lose your vision….

I guarantee you’d do anything stop that.?

And if you couldn’t but you could take steps to get it back.?

You would wouldn’t you?

Luckily, in business, we all have the option to regain our vision.?

For me, if there isn’t a vision I can’t see where I’m going - never mind hit the goal ???

And that’s where the goals come in.?

A vision is the pretty picture but the goals are the tiny (hard and rough edged) mosaic of pieces needed to build the picture.?

I’ve worked for people and for businesses with a 20/20 vision and in those situations I’ve hit the goal.

Every time.?

But without a vision I’m just hitting balls into a net - with no goalkeeper.?

It feels easy for a while.?

And then it’s just boring. What’s the point??

?And what’s the point of me sharing my thoughts on this (I hear you!!).?

Well, it’s just a wee reminder to everyone who has felt the challenges that most of us have this year.?

Adjust your focus until you have clear vision again.?

Move the goalposts if you need to.?

But make sure everyone on your team can see the goal as clearly as you do.?

And then everyone has a clear shot at putting the ball in the net.??

Not everyone will do it in every game - but you only need 1 or 2 who do - to win the league.?

And that what makes a winning team.?

I’m ready to go & win the league ??

And I don’t even like football ???
