We envision a healthcare assistant—whether it’s a wearable device, a mobile app, or a smart home system—that doesn’t just monitor vital signs or issue reminders but actively engages with the user’s emotional and physical well-being. A Sentient by Design healthcare assistant would be equipped with the ability to sense and respond to emotional cues, understand the user’s preferences, and provide personalized care based on the individual’s unique context.
