There are two amazing quotes by Coco Chanel, "A girl should have two things: classy & fabulous" and "A girl should have two things: who and what she wants." I love these and I believe that a female entrepreneur should not only know who or what she wants to be. She should also know why she wants it and where she wants to go from here.
Welcome to "the Courageous Woman" newsletter where we'll share advice, strategies and ideas for the entrepreneurial woman.
With that being said, I wanna start of talking about Vision Boards! Anyone that knows me, knows that I am a HUGE FAN of vision boards! I believe that if done with the right intentions and understanding of WHY it's being done, anyone can manifest and crush their goals because it helps to stay focused on your dreams and actually visualize what you wanted to achieve. Additionally, it’s a tremendous stress reducer because dreaming usually isn’t stressful and it’s even fun when you do it with a bunch of girlfriends!
However, if scanning through old magazines isn’t your idea of fun (or you just moved to a new city and don’t have many friends yet), you can still create a vision board – or maybe call it a vision diary or journal – without all the cutting and pasting. So, here are 3 creative ways you can create a vision board in a non-traditional way!
?????????????? ???????????? ????????????
You can achieve the same effect of a paper-and-paste vision board but use a Word document and free digital photos instead. If you want more design elements to your digital vision board, try Adobe Spark’s free collage maker. This is a fun alternative if you’re pressed for time during lunch or if you just don’t have a stash of magazines. Once your digital vision board is complete, make it your computer’s wallpaper so you will have a reminder every day of why you’re working so hard.
?????? ?? ?????? ???? ????????????, ????????????, ?????? ????????????
So often we expect vision boards to be filled with expensive gizmos and gadgets. I would encourage you to think about your ideal life and what makes it uniquely yours. Who are the most important people in your life? Where do you dream about traveling or living? Life isn’t just about how many THINGS you can accumulate; it’s also about the people we love and the adventures we dream about.
???????? ???????? ???????????? ?????????? ???????? ?? ??????????????
What better way to manifest your goals than to combine your vision board with journaling. Or at minimum put your vision board on the cover of your journal. Simply take some photos of your vision board, print them on heavy-weight card stock, resize so it fits the cover of your journal, and adhere it. Now, when you want to write about the day’s ups and downs, you can revisit your goals and find new inspiration, especially if you had many challenges throughout the day.
I hope these ideas help get the creative juices flowing. The sky is the limit so ladies!
So... tell me, are you a conventional vision board creator or are you open to implementing some other ways to manifesting your destiny?

3 年Sharon Ringier - coming in a bit late to the party, missed this in my feed last week, but caught it today while scanning my fellow #SmartWomenPartner newsletters! I love this so much! One of the things that draws me to you is that you not only talk about "vision boards" (which I have never really done one), but you talk about how to get to the WHAT to put on the vision board...how to be able to learn what we truly want...and I think that is the most important of all! (btw - almost everyone uses Canva (PRO or free) for their social media graphics - and I imagine that would be a great and fun program to use for vision board creating - either for your wallpaper or to print. :)

3 年Hi Sharon - slight correction needed above...you wrote A girl should have two things: classy & fabulous. It should say A girl should be two things: classy & fabulous. Change the have to be in this one. The second saying is correct. Just wanted to help. Good luck with your business.

3 年I love this. ?? I have been doing vision boards for 30 years and I believe it changed my life. One of the biggest challenges in entrepreneurship is staying motivated to keep going when you have limited financial and more importantly emotional support. Entrepreneurs have different mindsets, that often times your family and friends may not understand. They are not trying to be a "Negative Nancy" they just honestly don't get it or see the vision. Having a vision board that you can physically stare at daily, can help you stay inspired, motivated and on your path to greatness. Especially when obstacles arise - a vision board allows you to still physically see the big picture. I founded Affirm It Co. (www.affirmitco.com) to help women overcome a mindset of limiting beliefs and provide them with the tools, resources, motivation and community to set goals and live life beyond their imagination.
