Neo-Fluxus Vision in Bellagio
As the story goes, Talberg was about 20 when he was struck by a?vision in Bellagio, Italy where had discovered some life-sized sculptures wrapped in?tunica folds?- when he suddenly had a?flashback?into his childhood, being wrapped in his first folds of soft fabrics, hold by his parents, re-experiencing for a brief moment those profound?flows of warmth, energy and love.
There is something?very deep, primitive and humane?about these original experiences most of us had as tiny humane beings. From that time on Talberg became?obsessed with folds?and searched for ways to express these?primordial experiences?in his?Manifolds.
Even if A. Archipenko had already shown attempts of cubist-sculptural paintings in the 1920s, Talberg's biomorphic Neo-Fluxus?is radically new?from a stylistic, creative and aesthetic point of view, and are based on the use of?new materials and new techniques.

Neo-Fluxus & Manifolds
The advantages over ordinary painting are obvious. Manifolds remain recognizable as?high reliefs?from a distance by clearly protruding from the?architectural picture frame,?which Talberg inverts. A?play of light and shadow - chiaroscuro -?is generated through the depth, which changes constantly depending on the perspective of the viewer. This brings Neo-Fluxus reliefs close to the free-standing Neo-Fluxus sculptures.
“Ideas or thoughts originate in the alchemical?Materia Prima?and vice versa, the starting point of the?Opus Magnum?in the creation of Neo-Fluxus. Thought?is?energy, material?is?energy, color?is?energy, form?is?energy.?For me that is the?alpha and omega?of Neo-Fluxus", says Talberg.
Let us end this brief reflection with Auguste Rodin's words: "Instead of seeing the different parts of the body as more or less extensive surfaces, I imagined them as?protrusions of cubic masses.?I tried to do this in every swelling of the body or limb, so to let feel the?play of the muscles or bones?moving under the skin. So the truth of my sculptures, instead of appearing superficial, seems to?unfold from the inside out,?like life itself. “
