Vishay launches rotary potentiometer to simplify design and optimize cost for industrial and audio applications

【Lansheng Technology News】Recently, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the launch of two new IP67-sealed panel potentiometers with built-in rotary switches---P16F and PA16F. Vishay Sfernice P16F and PA16F potentiometers feature dielectric strength up to 5000 VAC and a power rating of 1 W at +40 °C to simplify the design and optimize cost of industrial and audio applications.


The device released today integrates a knob and panel potentiometer in a single assembly, eliminating the need to procure and assemble a separate knob. Additionally, only the mounting hardware and terminals are located on the back of the panel, and the clearance required on the back of the micropotentiometer panel is less than 15 mm.


The PA16F features a conductive plastic resistor core and is suitable for audio applications, while the P16F cermet knob potentiometer is suitable for use in industrial motor drives, welding equipment, HVAC and lighting systems, and control panels. The device is fully sealed and complies with IP67 standards and can work reliably in extreme environmental conditions.


Potentiometers can be customized with knob scale, resistance, wires and connectors, as well as detent and switch options. Devices are also available with metal knobs upon request. P16F and PA16F comply with CECC 41000 or IEC 60393-1 test standards.
