I survived the heatwave in Langkawi, it was like being on a flushed white spaced out planet. Energy drained, moody and grumpy, I was not a good company; but the evergreen melody of P. Ramlee playing off my Vivo while my husband was cooking his version of gumbo by the beach, was a fine end to that hot day. I was so looking forward to all our planned holidays for 2020.
We had arrived in Perlis when the news of a potential lockdown was announced! It is now the 3rd phase into our quarantine and looks very likely there will be no outdoor fun, holiday by the beach or even in church for a long time.
The virus is stealing my holiday plans. I have to cancel my pre-planned holidays. I was so looking forward to the Gawai Festival in Kuching this year and camping in Port Dickson. Now it may even have to be a quiet 2020 Christmas. Will there be a holiday coming soon for this virus?
