Over the years, I’ve learnt that one of the secrets to world-class training is to train the person not the job title. Because each person has its own personalized learning needs. That’s always been our approach at the Caterpillar Miami Lakes Learning Center and as part of Caterpillar Oil & Gas Learning & Development initiatives. And the result has been giving technicians everything from quick online modules to refresh knowledge or fill gaps, all the way to hands-on, instructor-led training on a real Cat equipment here in Miami to push them and the engine all the way.
