Virtual Reality Workshop by Desapex for CPDM Lab, IISc

The session started with an introduction to AR VR Technology, the workshop gave a hands-on experience on the hardware & software requirements and other virtual reality techniques showcasing the Architecture, Structure, and MEPF systems and elements in the live project models in the virtual reality environment.?

The initiative was aimed to assist the team with their ongoing Ph.D. projects involving sophisticated 3D models and enhance the ability to interact with them in a much more immersive way combining the real world with virtual elements.

Traditional 2D drawings and advanced 3D BIM Models are predominant for design communication in the construction industry & will never be replaced, but they often only offer a limited sheltered glimpse of a full experience. What if you could experience beyond that? Virtual reality & Augmented reality brings the opportunity to bridge that communication gap.

The instructor was outstanding & his enthusiasm for the subject was contagious & was courteous and patient to answer all our questions and explained things very clearly and their knowledge of the material was vast. They were willing to answer questions and provide additional resources if needed.

They were also very organized and prepared for every aspect of the demonstration. Their demonstration with the VR setup was engaging and conveyed the material in a way that was easy to understand. Acquired good knowledge regarding Virtual Reality, how to explore and navigate through 3D models & other VR Techniques.?
